Does what it says it does at a great price. Runs without conflicts.

I need this app for only one thing -- to easily mount an unmounted drive. It does it, and does it well. Enough said.

If you have any issues with external drives this is extremely helpful - especially if they are ever erratic e.g. randomly unmount themselves, or dont remount after they go to sleep. Great for re-mounting drives that are physically connected but dont show in Finder - Mountain recognizes them and can mount them. You dont have to unplug and replug them to get them recognized and remounted. Developers are extremely responsive, and couldnt be more reasonable. Im very pleased! I dont usually write reviews, but these guys deserve it. BTW Im using a MBPro with two FW800 drives daisy-chained; and my 2 kids are using MBAirs w/ the Belkin Thunderbolt Dock connected to USB 3.0 drives, ethernet, and cinema displays. It works well for all of us.

It works. It let’s me disable notifications. It’s ridiculous that I have to pay to get this functionality (as in, it should be built in to OSX). The developers have done a good job capitalizing on the failures of the OSX team.

Its simple, its solid, it makes mounting and dismounting volumes about as straightforward as it could (and should) be.

Easy mounting and unmounting of multiple disks

Does exactly what it promises. The price is great. What more could you ask for?

Simple, effective, and well supported. Not one of those apps that the developer walked away from 10 months ago and you’ll never see an update again.

It works as intended and advertized … given the junk apps and misleading-ware on iTunes … “Works” is a great thing.

Found this app when I was looking for a better solution for managing the external drives connected to my Mac Pro. Several of these drives are not needed most of the time, so I “eject” them (so that they spin down and stay that way, without the file system periodically waking them up). I was using Disk Utility to mount these drives, but Mountain is far more convenient.

Works well and once you buy and download from App Store and run it once, you can go to their website and download the latest, improved version for free.

Much easier than ejecting drives from desktop!

I tried to write an Applescript app to do only a portion of what this app does. After getting Apple’s cryptic error codes and trying to debug my script, I googled for an app that would do mounts and unmounts easily. Google got me this app and it is the best six bucks I have spent in a long time. It does way more than just mount and unmount. Highly recommended. And yes, do update the version through their website.

My external USB drives would not automatically mount on a restart or reboot and this app has resolved the problem. I heard about this app on the Nosillacast podcast. Because of sandboxing issues the app in the store is not the current one but the following is posted on the developers site "Mac App Store customers can migrate to the latest version for free”.
